Adidas Golf preps golfers for winter

CARLSBAD, Calif. (November 20, 2007) - adidas Golf, a brand of the TaylorMade-adidas Golf Company, is providing head-to-toe cold weather solutions for golfers looking to play as far into winter as courses will allow.

This winter season, adidas Golf provides an extensive line of men's and women's outerwear from its Tour Performance and Elements collection, along with its waterproof Mudskipper golf shoe.

All of adidas Golf's industry-leading ClimaWarm™ pieces are designed with thermal protection to maintain body heat without adding bulk or restricting the golf swing.

Offered in three distinct colors, the Interlock Polo is made up of 95 percent polyester and five percent CoolMax® Extreme, a technology designed to move moisture away from the body and enhance fabric drying rate, thus keeping the athlete feeling cool and dry.

The women's ClimaLite Engineered Hoodie provides the golfer warmth via its three-panel constructed hoodie, while its kangaroo pocket allows for convenient hand-warming.

When the weather is especially inclement, adidas Golf's Elements collection features innovative garments that offer superior comfort, look and feel and are designed to withstand the harshest conditions. adidas Golf offers the men's ClimaProof® Half Zip Wind/Rain Pullover jacket and the men's ClimaProof Full Zip Storm Pant - engineered to keep athletes warm, dry and focused through heavy rain and hard wind. Available in four colorways, the ClimaProof Convertible Storm jacket's advanced construction and hi-tech fabrics combine breathability, durability and softness while remaining quiet as the golfer moves and swings. Worn by adidas Golf Tour Staff professionals like Sergio Garcia, Sean O'Hair and Justin Rose, the ClimaProof Storm Pant features a 100 percent polyester laminated twill shell and a polyester mesh lining to protect against the toughest conditions.

Also from the Elements collection, adidas Golf offers a men's and women's compression piece, the ClimaLite Compression Thermal Mock, designed to be worn as base layer. Constructed with ClimaLite's plated hydrophilic technology, which wicks moisture away from the skin to a cotton face for quick evaporation, this garment will capture the golfer's heat yet still keeps the player dry and comfortable.

From adidas Golf's footwear collection, the men's Mudskipper provides the golfer the traction and stability needed when playing on tough terrain. The shoe also features a removable waterproof gaitor which prevents water from entering into the shoe and affecting the player's performance and comfort.
