In Their Words: Padraig Harrington
Padraig Harrington became the first Irishman in 60 years to win the British Open on Sunday, shooting a final-round 4-under 67 at Carnoustie Golf Links to force a four-hole playoff with Sergio Garcia, whom he defeated. Harrington also became the first European to win a major since Paul Lawrie won the 1999 British Open, also played at Carnoustie. Story
